Week of March 6

The math department has just completed training here at San Tan on our new math curriculum Aleks.

Last week the classes took their Subject Knowledge Test.  Those students who have their Subject Knowledge Test completed will begin this week ‘filling up their pie’ which are the skills they need to work on for the class.  Many students have score very high on their test and now do not have a whole lot of assignments to complete.  We will now have the ability to move them on to the next level and allow the student to continue at their pace.

With the new addition of Aleks for the 4th quarter we will no longer be utilizing Mappers on a weekly basis in class since they will be doing the same thing in Aleks.  Students were very happy hearing this news.
