Week of February 21

I hope everyone enjoyed their three day weekend.  I posted in the classroom the upcoming testing dates for all grade levels coming up in the next few weeks.  Tests such as gifted testing, PSAT, SAT, and state testing.  These are found on the school calendar.

Classes are continuing to progress through Khan Academy.  At times I will give worksheets to continue to practice important concepts such as graphing.  March 14-25 will be Spring Break so please remind your student to make sure all assignments are completed.  Please check for any low or missing scores in Infinite Campus, or contact teachers to see what can still be made up.

Tutoring sessions are going on daily.  We have added the MAP scores for the students signed up.  They work on the recommended practice to help get them back to grade level.  We will also at times work on class work that students are struggling with.  The MAP practice assignments can also be done at any time not just in tutoring sessions.  Many of the students that attended tutoring last semester increased MAP scores by double digits!  Just remember, there is a difference between growth and achievement.  Students who raised their score may still be below their grade level so it is important that they continue to work on the practice.
