Week of August 24

This week is an important week because all students will be taking the fall MAP test for math and reading. Testing days will be on Thursday for math and Friday for reading. We use the data from these tests to help us as teachers to help determine where students are at in terms of skills in the subject. This way we can individualize instruction to help fill holes that will help the students set and meet realistic goals for the next testing period in the winter. As parents, you will receive a copy of the test results at conferences. Please encourage your student to do their best when taking their test Thursday and Friday.
