Week of August 1

We are off to a fairly smooth start to the new school year.  The students are getting situated and seem ready to go.  This week we start MAP testing for math.  This is a very big deal to us as teachers since I can use the students’ scores to add individualized assignments in their Khan Academy based on the scores they receive in each category.  It is what we used for tutoring sessions last school year and we saw huge improvements in the student scores.

We will be getting into our math curriculum after MAP testing is completed toward the end of the week.
